Compassionately Approaching Chaos
March 31-April 2 (Friday-Sunday)
With Henrita Frost, SSND and Johanna Seubert, FSPA
Tuition: $75-$150, plus meals and lodging
The retreat will open Friday evening with a time of reflecting together on the Charter for Compassion and end Sunday with a challenge to imagine oneself as being part of a Field of Compassion.
The Practice of Loving Kindness Meditation will be an anchor bringing compassion into our hearts as we utter the intentions for ourselves and moving on to all beings and the universe. As we engage in this practice our hearts may grow in compassion and begin to beat with compassion and love.
Time will be given to tending to our own self-compassion and its meaning and presence as a transformative power in our lives that can inspire each of us to risk being a transformative power within the insecure times of our daily environment.
Finally, the closing invitation will be to be part of a Field of Compassion that can approach chaos and working with others to bring it to peace and harmony. Let us remember Jesus’ invitation: “Love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 13)
