Our main-building is a three-domed round Deltec design with pine ceilings and tile floors. Our gathering spaces include meeting rooms, the meditation hall, the chapel and the dining room overlooking gardens, a wildflower meadow, woods, pond, and ceremonial fire circle. In winter geothermal heating and lots of large windows for passive solar heat create cheery comfort.
Two smaller meetings rooms, Birches and the Pines are available for groups or individuals if a group is not in session. Birches has a conference table and the Pines is equipped with a large screen for video viewing.
The spacious 52-foot diameter meditation hall is the heart of the Christine Center. Here we offer instruction and practice in daily meditation as well as retreat programs in contemplative life and spiritual practices and other experiential learning activities. We hold our twice-daily meditation practice in the hall. If a group is not in session, you are welcome to meditate, practice yoga, read, or relax surrounded in beauty and peace.
The room’s doomed ceiling with skylights and large windows create a light, airy feeling that invites the spirit to soar. The room is acoustically beautiful for singing and chanting. The geothermal, radiant in-floor heating provides quiet warmth, while the hardwood floor is a special treat for dancers and yoga practitioners. An air conditioner is available when needed.
Mary of Angels Chapel is also in the round style with a soaring pine ceiling and with beautiful stained-glass windows designed by Eau Claire, WI artist Laurie Biezi. The chapel can be used as a small-group meeting room.
