Learn some of the common sources of low back pain, including stenosis, scoliosis, lumbar disc damage, piriformis syndrome and s.i. joint concerns.
All gentle yoga practices will focus on low back care with modifications provided to insure you can participate. A meditation practice can help with both pain and anxiety reduction. You will also practice simple meditation techniques to develop a clear view of your habits that create blocks to a happier, healthier life.
- Learn the meaning of the terms, stenosis, scoliosis, piriformis syndrome, disc damage and sacroiliac joint.
- Experience yoga poses that reduce the conditions listed above.
- Experience meditation techniques that reduce thoughts, pain and anxiety.
- Learn to laugh a little, or a lot, starting with some of the stories told by Bill as he takes participants through a practice.
During Bill’s 72 years on this earth, he has spent time in Vietnam (Danang,, ’68), been a police officer specializing in sexual abuse, assault and death investigation, a father and a grandfather, a teacher, a group facilitator, a bike mechanic, and a yoga teacher. His stories, often humorous, reflect his experience.
