Together for Transformation: Conscious Participation in Group Process

September 15, 2015 by Valerie Haberman

Reflections on Year Three, Weekend 2

Aha! I’m not in this alone. Together- surely there are many, many others who are waking up to the new cosmology and to our evolving consciousness. They are my tribe. I have found them and they will be doing this work with me.

Entering the circle process as part of each session, I have come to know myself through knowing others. Now we will be in the circle not just for ourselves but for the sake of the world. This is a new initiation for the sake of the world.

Reflections on Year Three, Weekend One

I begin where I am- my simple and complex reality- I recognize how enmeshed I am in everything around me. It’s not easy to surrender my ego but little by little, day by day, I unloose my grip on me and mine and relax into a more inclusive sense of who I am.  This carrot- I need it. This family of carrots needs my care for the earth so it can sustain all plant and animal life. This air I need, it needs me to care for it, so that it can sustain all plant and animal life.

Would I be better off not caring? Staying in my adolescent approach to life? Year three drives me forward and spills me out into a wider, exciting world that becomes my family, my passion. This weekend invites me for the sake of all life to take energetic action? What would that look like for me- in the last third of my life?

Spirit Leadership for Global Transformation: Year Three

Reflections on Year Three

Moment to moment across the weeks, months and now years on the journey I have been moving intentionally toward deeper awareness.  In this final year we open ourselves to recognize that my maturing unity is but a replica of the bonds that unite me with all that is.  Sometimes I am undone by the opening of a flower, the warmth of a friend, or the pain of a stranger.  I live in a space that is vibrant with possibilities and the slightest shift – a prayer, perhaps, propel s everything. My sphere is magnified by the most powerful force available to me.

This third year is a walk into this wide and wilder world that is as present to me as my heart beat. Show up and you will be part of this amazing journey.

Holding Center: Transformative Mandala-Making for the Sake of Soul and the World

Reflections on Year Two, Weekend Four

Circling round, circling round in ever-widening concentric circles: now my circle includes, communities of communities, nations of nation, worlds of worlds. Reaching, merging, melding into Being, I begin in the tiniest way to own that I am a part of an evolving whole.  My mandala-making leads me from the still point to some all-inclusive mystery.

There’s something primordial about mandala making as it touches into patterns – honoring diversity and unity, everything has its place.  Doing this work with a group or in a group is like being a living mandala, with each point being a center. A sacred circle where all is valued and precious.

My Body Myself: Transformative Embodiment

June 13, 2015 by Valerie Haberman

Reflections on Year Two, Weekend Three

“Breathe!” I say. “Just breathe.” This’ll be a great weekend hanging out in my body! It will introduce me to power, strength and flexibility. But this transformative embodiment also deals with the most subtle vibrational shifts that can occur through quieting the mind, inner concentration and entering into silence.

Maturity is a mind-body-spirit thing. But, who can tell me of the inner workings of soul and body? Am I ever ready for something as simple as unity?
