In book one of the Diamond Heart series, Almaas offers valuable guidance and advice for those on a spiritual path, and he explores the challenges and psychological barriers faced by those seeking self-realization. Chapter topics for this study: The book group meetings may include a short meditation and an introduction to inquiry practices. We want to give every participant the opportunity to talk about how the assigned reading impacted them and their subsequent experience. We will emphasize listening and being in touch with the body. Meetings are held on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, every other week, and will cover the first 6 chapters of the book. Timothy Bernhard, a trained Diamond Approach teacher, will be leading the book study.

His journey began more earnestly when he moved to the Christine Center for Unitive Spirituality in Willard Wisconsin to become a member of their community of seekers. His journey included herbal medicines, Taoist Qigong and Fourth way traditions. At the center he was introduced to and began his spiritual journey with the Diamond Approach.
