What does it mean to recover our wholeness? How is it that we find ourselves, as adults, living in a small room tucked away in a corner of the glorious mansion of ourselves? What happened to the freedom and joy and possibility that we may remember from our early childhood?

The Enneagram can give us a focusing lens on our core personality type, helping us understand how the world and our families responded to our core needs, desires, and fears—and how we, in turn, responded to the world—creating the partial personality we inhabit now. The Enneagram can also show us, because it is itself a complete model of the human soul, the way to recover our initial wholeness.

We learn about our own core personality type, not to label ourselves or to stuff ourselves into a box, but to understand the nature of the box we already live in—and to see the way out!

Dave and Katy have developed a unique way of conveying the riches of this transformational system, incorporating stories, poetry, music, imagery, discussion, and embodied experience, all as ways to help participants find their unique path back to wholeness.

Katy’s ongoing practice of learning to live life fully is an integral part of her Enneagram teaching. Blending the Enneagram, embodiment practices from her years of women’s work and yoga practice and teaching, and her background as a holistic and full voice coach, she weaves a thread of aliveness, wholeness, and sacred presence into all her coaching and teaching. Her background as an interfaith minister and her 10 years in the Diamond Approach (with Dave) along with her devotion to the practice of intentional presence in her daily living enable her to bring a moment-by-moment invitation to experiencing a bodyful, mindful presence right now.

Dave brings a rich and eclectic background to his teaching of the Enneagram. A longtime student of both the Enneagram of Personality Types and the original Process Enneagram taught by G. I. Gurdjieff, Dave’s teaching and coaching offers a unique blend of these powerful and transformational systems. He also brings a decades-long practice of Vipassana Buddhist meditation, a deep grounding in the Diamond Approach, and a lifetime of immersion in the great myths and stories of our long cultural journey as human beings on this fragile planet. Currently, Dave has embarked on an eco-soul-centric path of exploration and transformation with the Animas Valley Institute in Colorado.

Dave and Katy, who met in 2005 at an Enneagram of the Holy Ideas workshop and got married in 2010, have been teaching and coaching together since being certified by The Enneagram Institute in 2007. Participants always comment on the skillful and inspirational blend of their different backgrounds and personality styles in their co-teaching.
