Mary Within: Exploring Her Titles, Archetypes, and Powers
June 30-July 1, 2023
with Rev Yanchy Lacska, PhD
$150, plus meals and lodging
Come explore and experience Mary (Miriam of Nazareth), beyond her role as the historical mother of Jesus. In this retreat, we will reflect upon the archetypal meanings associated with the titles Mary has been given by both the Western and Eastern Church.
These archetypal energies are ancient pre-existing feminine patterns in the psyche of all humans. They are cross- cultural, trans-historical, and trans-religious.
The primary focus will be on the archetypes of Mary as Virgin, Mother, and Queen of Heaven, but we will also look at how these archetypes are expressed in other cultural and religious traditions.
Participants will learn and practice simple but powerful qigong exercises and meditations to get in touch with the divine feminine (yin/anima) energies within, and use these energies and the wisdom of these archetypal powers to cultivate self-realization and theosis (union with the Divine).

I am mostly retired, but still see a few people as a pastoral counselor (combining Jungian oriented counseling, qigong, and spiritual companionship), facilitate a cancer support group at Woodwinds Hospital (now via Zoom), and am occasionally asked to be a guest homilist.
