Solstice and Equinox Soul-Celebrations of Seasonal Liminality!
Beginning on the Solstice: December 21, 2021
10:00 am – 4:30 pm
December 21 – Solstice 2021!
Let’s make the conscious best of autumn’s seasonal turning into Winter: the seasonal bridging of this year into the next!
Come for the day: 10:00 – 4:30 or stay overnight for a full experience of the natural sanctuary that the Christine Center offers. The trees stand as guardians of soul and winter’s night sky awaits you.
A day of retreat and holy ritual honoring the liminal turning of the season offered on-site and on-line at the Christine Center with S. Gabriele Uhlein and friends.
Join us fireside, in the St. Hildegard Soul-Studio for the Creative Arts and Ritual.
For our Solstice celebration, we explore the natural wisdom of “long nights” in our hemisphere. The great 12th century mystic, St. Hildegard of Bingen actually crafted seasonal spiritual guidance for each of the seasons. Learning from her insights, as well as from many other sources, we will discover fresh meaning for our time. Our Solstice Day will include rich conversation, silence, meditation, movement, and of course, a closing ritual of chanting and drumming.
Join us for optional Christine Center Morning Meditation in the Chapel @ 8:45
The Solstice deepening work begins @ 10:00 with a 60 min. orientation session for personal reflection and ceremony preparation. Our time together closes with a session at 2:30 that includes a solstice ceremony and drumming circle. Afterward, those who wish can join the Christine Center 5:00 pm Silent Meditation in the Chapel. Bring a drum if you have one, and anything you might wish to include in a personal solstice ritual.
