Speaking Peace: What you say next can change your world
Enriching life through Compassionate Communication
November 22-24 (Friday through Sunday)
With Wade Britzius
Tuition: $150 plus meals and lodging
In this workshop we will discover and practice the tools of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), developed by Marshall Rosenberg Ph.D. Finding ways to place our attention on the present moment, we are supported, no matter what our spiritual path, to create the life we are longing for – a life of authenticity, freedom and real connection with others. These are the kind of skills needed if the world is to move from relationships based on domination to relationships based on partnership and compassion. Simply put, NVC makes life more wonderful by supporting us to:
- Develop our capacity for deep listening to self and other
- Differentiate the simplicity of direct experience from the “story” we carry
- Get in direct touch with the bodily energy of our feelings with less entanglement in the associated thoughts
- Realize and express the direct universal living energy of our needs or life force as it moves through us, and through others, moment by moment
- Learn ways to directly ask for what we want as we create a quality of connection, where everyone’s needs are heard and honored
