Uplift Yoga Retreat: Navigating Mystersy through Yoga and Labyrinth
November 18-20, 2021
$120 plus meals and lodging
We are immersed in uncertain times, and the only true source of equilibrium is within.
The mythologist Martin Shaw asked “What if we reframed ‘living with uncertainty’ to ‘navigating mystery’?”
Leave the everyday world and step into the liminal realm that can only be created through intention, community and the curiosity of self-inquiry. Together we will dive into our inner space via the portals of yoga and labyrinth exploration. Our weekend will be framed with practices, consisting of gentle movement, stillness, silence and story, with plenty of in-between time to flesh out your own mythology. In addition to walking labyrinths, all participants will have the opportunity to create and work with their own finger labyrinths representing personal imagery.
Circle in– to the center– and return with a deeper awareness of your own inner compass for your journey through the mystery.
Our weekend schedule will start on Friday at 5:30 PM and run through Sunday 12 noon. The program will include four two-hour sessions with time in-between for writing, reading, journaling, walking or making art.

“The correct response to uncertainty is mythmaking. There’s no solving uncertainty. Mythmaking is an imaginative labor, not a frantic attempt to shift the mood to steadier ground. There isn’t any.” – Martin Shaw
