Born to Flourish Book Study
Facilitated by Joanne Nelson • on Zoom
Mondays, January 11-February 15th, 2027
6:30pm Central
What does it mean to flourish – not simply to get through the days, but to live with a deep sense of aliveness, purpose, and possibility? In this six-week book circle, we’ll explore Born to Flourish by Richard J. Davidson PhD and Cortland Dahl PhD as an invitation to look more deeply at who we are and how we become most fully ourselves. We’ll engage the book’s ideas intellectually as well as personally as we discover our own ways to thrive in all seasons of our lives.
Each week, we’ll explore a different dimension of flourishing – including awareness, connection, insight, and purpose. We’ll practice increasing our abilities in each of these areas and celebrate the ways we are already flourishing. Come ready to read, reflect, and share as we discover what it means to live fully into our lives.
The book can be purchased here.

“I’m forever curious about how to flourish during times of stress. Learning new skills in the areas of awareness, connection, insight, and purpose and integrating them into my life has helped me to grow into my true self with patience and joy. I hope participants will discover with greater clarity what allows them to flourish.“
