Community Holiday Retreats at the Christine Center

We are heartened and excited to offer a special invitation to join our community holiday gatherings, held throughout the year:

50% off the entire cost per person through 2025.

Holidays often bring a yearning to connect and celebrate together. Join us at the Christine Center for our community holiday retreats where every aspect of your being is welcome. Whether you bring joy, sorrow, energy, or tranquility, this is a sanctuary where all are embraced. We laugh, cry, pray, sing, and share meals in a setting that fosters deep connection and genuine celebration. We meditate together, celebrate together, have cozy gatherings around the fire, traditional meals, community connection, and time for solitude.

Six times a year, we host contemplative retreats that provide a peaceful and reflective atmosphere, allowing you to unwind and engage deeply in whatever way is most meaningful to you—spend time with others or alone with the woodland sanctuary.

Each retreat begins with a focus or reflection that sets the tone for your contemplative journey. Whether it’s a reading, a meditation, or an intention-setting exercise, this thematic container gently guides you into the sacred space of retreat.

We encourage you to co-create these moments with us!

Tell us what makes these times special for you or bring a practice to share with the community.

Together in conversation, in personal ritual and in ceremony circles, we’ll explore themes of life, loss, and legacy. Let’s let the natural world teach us the wisdom we need to face honorably and open-heartedly the great cycle of life. We’ll breathe together, bless together, and together hold, honor and heal as best we can.

We can Breathe!
We’ll introduce each other and the ones we are celebrating. We’ll invoke the wisdom of our personal ancestors and the elders of multiple spiritual traditions.
• Grieve, honor, and extend blessing without exception – dedicated to all those no longer breathing, those unable to breathe freely; to all those left breathless and without soul-oxygen, no matter the cause.
• Offer a homeland Breath-ritual (a profound “inter-life” celebration) to make “oxygen” for the world.

We are One!
We’ll take personal time to reconnect heart to life, and body to soul through the natural wisdom of our sacred woodland sanctuary
• Cultivate a fresh appreciation of nature – in its original transcendental wildness and possibility.
• Take a personal mini nature ”quest”, create a blessing bundle, and contribute to our Nature mandala.

We are Blessing!
We’ll deepen our capacity to heal, honor, appreciate and bless.
• Create a personal blessing-bundle.
• Participate in creating a collective nature mandala and drumming circle.
• In ceremony, we’ll hang a prayer flag and other mementos as spirit leads.

What to bring…
• A picture or object from a beloved ancestor (personal, familial or from your spiritual tradition…) We will honor it, and display it in our conversation circle for inspiration while you are here.
• Bell, drum, rattle or other small portable musical instrument to add to our healing resonance. (The Christine Center also has drums available for use.
• A meaningful “wearable”, such as a prayer shawl, hat, jewelry or neckwear for use during ceremony times.
