An introduction to the Deep Wisdom of The Tao Te Ching

With Ron Moor

Five hundred years before Christ, the legendary Chinese sage Lao Tzu composed a poetic and profound text known as the Tao Te Ching. It’s eighty-one short wisdom sayings come down to us with an uncommon elegance that crystalize a deep feminine philosophy on such perennial matters as power, happiness, and the source of meaning. First written down at a time of great chaos in ancient China, it is gaining wide recognition in our own time of challenge.

This is a one day, on line offering to help you come to a greater understanding and appreciation of this way of life that is as relevant for us in the West today as it has been in China for centuries. Tao is not a religion, it is a profound wisdom of living that asks us to let go of our conditioning and live in harmony with all creation.

Together, we will open to the ancient origin of Tao and explore
key verses through reading, discussion and meditation/contemplation.

There was something formless and perfect
Before the universe was born.
It is serene. Empty.
Solitary. Unchanging.
Infinite. Eternally present.
It is the Mother of the universe.
For lack of a better name,
I call it The Tao.

Tao Te Ching, Verse 25
