MOVING IN FLOW: Qigong Practice for a Bright New Year

with Sandra Mighell
January 2-4, 2026

A famous quote by Lao Tsu, one of the founding fathers of Taoism, states that “our highest good is like water. It gives life to the ten thousand things and does not strive.” -Tao Te Ching

Qi, or life force, is often likened to water in Chinese movement tradition.

In this weekend workshop, we will explore the water element in Chinese medicine, and learn how to practice moving more with flow, just as water does. Water flows powerfully as a waterfall, yet so gently and flexibly as it moves around rocks. If how we move our bodies is indeed a metaphor for how we move through life, Qigong movement practice can be a great practice to enhance flow state in everyday living.

Join veteran Qigong practitioner and instructor, Sandra Mighell, in a weekend full of balance between movement and rest, while enjoying the company of others who are seeking a new way of being for this brand new year. Together we will explore Taoist principles and different ways of moving to support these principles, using the movement modalit(ies) of Qigong.

Your Guide for the Journey

Sandra Mighell

In her 26 years of movement and somatic experience, Sandra has studied with several Qigong and movement teachers but relishes most in being in the moment and exploring together with her students as a student herself. Her deep Joy is to open doors for others to step through and explore in their own natural way and time. It is said that the journey of a 1,000 miles begins with the first step. Thanks for making a choice to step in to the dance of life and explore your flow.
