Clark County Spring into the Arts

April 24 & 25, 2026

Hosting seven artists, the Christine Center celebrates the beauty of our natural woodland sanctuary and rural Wisconsin life. Our artists are creative makers of vibrant paintings, artful pottery, marvelous metalwork, jewelry, mosiacs, found object, and mixed media. A festival of the transcendent and the everyday – each artist in their own way celebrates nature’s luminosity, shape, line, and the legacy of working with the woods and the land.

Visit our superbly curated spiritual bookstore and serene chapel. We also invite you to add brushstrokes to our annual intuitive art tour mural this year celebrating the natural world and appreciating nature.

Schedule:

Friday, April 24: 9:00am until 5:00pm
Saturday, April 25: 9:00am until 5:00pm

Special participation events:

    • All guests are invited to experience Intuitive Painting at the St. Hildegard Soul-Studio for Creative Arts
    • All guest are invited to add to our annual mural at the St. Hildegard Soul-Studio for Creative Arts

Make a weekend of it and stay with us at the Christine Center!

Stay with us at the Christine Center and let the rhythm of the land shape your time away. From here, you can travel the back roads of the county, where artists open their studios and welcome you into the spaces where their work is created and shared.

Throughout the weekend, visit exhibits and sales across the region, then return to rest among the pines. Onsite, seven of our resident artists will open their studios as well – offering conversation, connection, and work that reflects the spirit of this place.

Come for the art. Stay for the quiet. Let the whole weekend unfold.

Creative Soul Expression!

Pottery, mandalas, and mixed media art inspired by nature, intuition, and soul. My pottery and my paintings are created as free from ego as possible. The intention is to allow color, image, shape to come through authentically and intuitively. The pieces express my love of nature, and inspiration comes from my meditation and contemplative practice. I studied pottery, drawing and painting classes in Minnesota, Colorado, Wisconsin, Texas, and New Mexico. I have taught several mandala drawing and intuitive painting workshops and has shown my work at art events in various locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Heartfelt Expressions!

I create artisan jewelry in the style of American Studio Jewelry. Every step in the process is done by me, in my studio. I use precious metals, designer cabochons, sometimes beads and faceted stones. I aim to reflect on the intrinsic beauty of our world through the patterns, textures, flow, simplicity, and complexities I see and then express in my work. My jewelry is a heartfelt expression – which is inspired by my love of the natural world and the beauty I find in the unencumbered time I spend there.

Listen! Upcycle! New life comes!

I create sculptures that express the inspiration of nature, spirit and heart. Drawing inspiration from a deep inner prompting, my creations combine geometric and organic forms to create exciting and transforming compositions. I like to use found materials, giving metal scraps and even old CD’s new life. My techniques, informed by decades of professional experience in metal work, include plasma cutting, welding, and a variety of manual and machine treatments.

Mystery and Elegance!

I strive for mystery and elegance in my mixed media artwork. Taking paper, found materials, paint and fabric, I create depth & texture, inviting the viewer to look beneath the surface.

Reclaimed Color and Joy!

I create mosaics and art with new and reclaimed objects. My work is colorful, joyful, and uplifting. I create intuitively, inspired by the materials surrounding me and the energy that flows through me. I have been trained through the Chicago Mosaic School and the Society of American Mosaic Artists. My work is in private collections and homes throughout the United States. I also offer classes in West Central Wisconsin and beyond. I will be offering small wall hangings & necklaces for this year’s event.

Expressions of Natural Beauty!

I have been painting with water media for over 30 years and teaching classes in watercolor and other media in art workshops. In the Northwoods area I have given workshops at Dillman’s, the Manito Art League, and Lakeland Art League and at centers in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Washington State. I am a Franciscan Sister and formally taught at Marywood Franciscan Spirituality Center in Arbor Vitae, WI. I hold a master’s degree in art and am a lifetime art teacher. I incorporate traditional techniques and new approaches in both my paintings and teaching. A common thread which runs through my art expression no matter what the media is my connection with nature, observation, and expression of the natural beaty which surrounds me, from close view of a single flower to the broad vista of open fields, lakes, and sky. I purposely choose to live in a quiet area at St. Joseph Ridge in La Crosse to be immersed in nature and the solitude which it offers. Drawing my inspiration from nature, I work mainly with water media because they offer the opportunity to use transparency and layering of color.
