Sacred Space and Shrine Volunteer Retreat

Join us for a spiritual journey at the Christine Center
and become a “keeper” of sacred spaces.
This is a deeply fulfilling opportunity to engage with sacred sites and contribute to their preservation and beautification. This retreat is designed for those who cherish spirituality and community service, allowing you to connect with the history and significance of each space.
Retreat Offerings
Friday Evening
Our retreat begins with an evening pilgrimage led by the Sisters. We will visit each sacred space and receive insightful stories about their origins and spiritual importance.
Saturday Morning and Afternoon
Engage in hands-on activities to clean, clear, and beautify each shrine and space. Tasks will include washing, weeding, clearing debris, and painting.
We are specifically looking for one volunteer skilled in precision painting to help freshen up existing painted images, ensuring they continue to inspire awe and reverence.
Saturday Evening
After a day of meaningful work, unwind with a social gathering on Saturday evening. Enjoy connecting with fellow volunteers around a fire.
Sunday Morning
After breakfast, we will finish clearing the spaces and offer blessings for their service to the Christine Center community of guests and residents.
This retreat is an opportunity to both give back to cherished spiritual environments and to grow in your own spiritual journey.
