When I Am Among the Trees

A Nature Encounter with Ron Moor and Don Quintenz

June 20-23, 2024 (Thursday through Sunday)

Might we open to the song of the whispering leaves and hear their call to “stay awhile” as in Mary Oliver’s luminous poem? Might we learn to “see” and commune more deeply with all of our senses?

Join with Don Quintenz and Ron Moor for an initiation into the Mysteries of the Forest, the living, sentient world that embraces The Christine Center and summoned its founders.

How do you feel when you are in the wild woods? Does it feel alive? Do you?

Would you like to know more about the seen and the unseen that dwell there?

Would you like to commune with the intelligences and the spirit of the forest?

We all have the inborn capacity to experience far more than our time bound, left brain rational culture would have us believe. We all have the ability to consciously experience Nature in all her myriad components as living, sentient being.

While inside the sheltering and welcoming lodge we will learn techniques of opening, of deep sensing, of devotion and reverence. When we step outside the forest will guide us into a heartful and nurturing level of communion. Together we will walk into the surrounding landscape in a practice of curiosity and attention that can deepen our engagement with the living world. The forest will be our classroom and our sanctuary.

We gather Thursday evening through Sunday noon. This gives time to let go of some of our civilized conditioning and enter a little deeper into the magic that is The Christine Center. As we open to nature’s time/space we can more fully sense and receive the many gifts the forest is waiting to give.

The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.
