An Introduction to the Deep Wisdom of The Tao Te Ching

November 22, 2025

In this one-day online retreat, Ron Moor will guide participants in exploring the essence of the Tao: a way of living that invites us to release conditioning and live in harmony with all creation.

Discover timeless wisdom for a balanced, natural way of being.

The Holy Mysteries of Advent: Listen as the Stillness Calls

November 30, December 7, 14, 21
from 10-11:30am; with Chris Flynn

Tune into Nature as all Creation Waits for the Coming of the Light

You are warmly invited to join us for the four Sundays of Advent, leading us towards the Birth of Light. We will explore the insights and gifts from the Natural World as we light a candle each Sunday. Our Advent wreath symbolizes our personal waiting experience from the darkness to the Light. Week by week, the candles remind us that fear and hopelessness recede as more warmth enters the world. The flame of each new candle reminds us that more is yet to come. Each week will consist of a Candle lighting meditation, a Wisdom story from our forest friends, a time to write, and a time to share our insights.

THANK YOU!!!! Really THANK YOU! from my very soul. Stepping away to focus on myself and leaving the stresses of life behind was way overdue. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to enjoy the peace and serenity of the Christine Center. Again, Thank You!

Kathleen Graham | Kara Vangen | Jim Lockridge

This retreat offers a deep exploration of the Black Latifa — a subtle, luminous quality of presence that evokes profound inner peace, stillness, and mystery. When this essential center awakens, the mind becomes quiet, and awareness opens to truth and insight that arise effortlessly from within.

As we rest in this quiet depth, we reconnect with the foundational peace and unshakable strength at the core of our being. Part of the ongoing Midwest Diamond Approach Group 4.

I had no idea this was such a magical place. Just driving up, all the heaviness I was bringing with me started to dissolve. I felt like a little kid exploring all the different communal spaces and feeling safe as I walked under the stars at night. Safe. That’s how I feel here.

Archetypes and Patterns of Consciousness:How Did We Get Here? Now What?

December 13, 2025
Guided by Ron Moor

In a time of turmoil and shifting worldviews, we may be standing at the threshold of a transformation of consciousness itself. Guided by Ron Moor, this retreat invites us to explore the many beings within our inner world—saints, heroes, villains, and archetypal symbols—that shape both personal and collective experience. Drawing on insights from Jean Gebser, we’ll take the long view of how new awareness emerges through individuals, stirs chaos, and gives rise to the new. With archetypes and ancestors at the ready, participants are invited into a living exploration of what it means to “be” in this moment of profound change.

New Year's Winter in the Woods

December 27, 2025 – January 1, 2026
with the Christine Center Community

We invite you to join us for our annual year-end retreat, a sacred pause to reflect, release, and prepare for what lies ahead. In community, we honor the lessons of the year past through reflection and ritual, then welcome fresh beginnings with practices that support clarity and intention. This retreat offers gentle space for contemplation, meaningful connection, and the creation of personal intentions to carry into the new year.

There are not enough positive adjectives in the English language to describe the Christine Center itself. Kind, safe, cozy, trusting, loving, etc, etc. I always want to come back. Love meditation in the chapel with sister Johanna. The grounds feel so sacred and peaceful. I love to walk in the woods.

The Power of Belief and Insight: Align, Refresh our Inner Compass

June 13, 2026
Guided by David O’Fallon

Turning inward, we discover another cosmos to explore: the power of story, imagination, and the values that shape our lives. This retreat invites participants to reflect on the beliefs and insights that form an inner compass, guiding choices and opening pathways to fulfillment. Through perennial questions—What is my story? Where is my calling? What nourishes me and gives me hope?—we’ll engage the life-shaping forces within. Together we’ll explore how unexamined stories influence the way we live, and how we might choose to shift, create, and carry new ones forward.

Whether enjoying a Private Retreat at the Center or participating in another organized program, this wonderful “no judgement” space is available to you to express your creativity, or just to “play.” Unless there’s an organized retreat happening in the studio, it’s open at all hours.
