Retreat programs offer unique opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice in a supportive group container. At the Christine Center, we strive to offer diverse opportunities so that all may find a retreat experience to deepen and nourish their practice.

Our guided sessions, offered each day, create a nurturing space for inner reflection, mindful presence, and spiritual connection. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or new to meditation, these gatherings provide gentle guidance and community support to deepen your practice. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, a reflective open discussion follows the morning session, inviting you to explore your experience with others in a spirit of shared inquiry.

Our Hearts Were Made For This

Join us each Sunday to explore LovingKindness practices from the Buddhist traditions.

Each session will begin with a brief dharma talk which will frame our practice. The meditation will be 20-30 minutes in length, followed time to ask questions and share experiences. The discussion period is optional with an approximate end time of 10am or earlier depending on the discussion.

The qualities of kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity help us to live in this world with courage. They help us to be a true friend to ourself and to others. They connect us back to an inner abiding that is a true refuge.

We are now able to plan a Christine Center service for our Sister and we invite you to a tender weekend of remembrance to honor the life and spirit of Sister Gabe. Through meditation, prayer, ritual, and creative expression, we will celebrate her enduring presence in our lives and in the heart of the Christine Center community.

There are three ways to take part in the service: you may join us in person for the full weekend experience with meditations, rituals, meals, and lodging; attend online for Saturday evening’s Prayer Service; or come in person for the Prayer Service only.

Fall Sound Medicine Retreat: Mantra, Meditation & Yoga Nidra

This retreat blends the subtle practices of yoga with the ancient healing power of sacred sound, guiding you toward inner listening, replenishment, and soulful connection. Through mantra, breath-centered movement, meditation, yoga nidra, and reflective practices, you’ll explore sound as medicine and discover how it supports clarity, balance, and inner harmony.

Deeply Rooted, Faithfully Nurtured: Celebrating 45 years of Spiritual Deepening

Join us for a weekend of sacred celebration honoring 45 years of Franciscan heritage, contemplative community, and spiritual deepening. On All Hallows’ Eve we will gather by candlelight to bless the ancestors and all who have tended this sanctuary of the spirit. Through song, Dances of Universal Peace, creative mask-making, and a collaborative mural, we will honor the many faces of transformation. Together we will root ourselves in gratitude, step into celebration, and vision the path ahead with hope and reverence.

Tune into Nature as all Creation Waits for the Coming of the Light

You are warmly invited to join us for the four Sundays of Advent, leading us towards the Birth of Light. We will explore the insights and gifts from the Natural World as we light a candle each Sunday. Our Advent wreath symbolizes our personal waiting experience from the darkness to the Light. Week by week, the candles remind us that fear and hopelessness recede as more warmth enters the world. The flame of each new candle reminds us that more is yet to come. Each week will consist of a Candle lighting meditation, a Wisdom story from our forest friends, a time to write, and a time to share our insights.

Whether enjoying a Private Retreat at the Center or participating in another organized program, this wonderful “no judgement” space is available to you to express your creativity, or just to “play.” Unless there’s an organized retreat happening in the studio, it’s open at all hours.
