Our Hearts Were Made For This

Sundays, 9am CST
Facilitated by: Sara Neall

Join us each Sunday to explore LovingKindness practices from the Buddhist traditions.

Each session will begin with a brief dharma talk which will frame our practice. The meditation will be 20-30 minutes in length, followed time to ask questions and share experiences. The discussion period is optional with an approximate end time of 10am or earlier depending on the discussion.

The qualities of kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity help us to live in this world with courage. They help us to be a true friend to ourself and to others. They connect us back to an inner abiding that is a true refuge.

From humble Franciscan beginnings to today’s sanctuary for seekers, The Christine Center has welcomed thousands into the quiet mystery of inner growth, creative expression, and heartfelt connection.

Join our 8th Spiritual Deepening for Global Transformation Community

First Retreat: August 14-17, 2025

SDGT is a three-year immersive journey dedicated to deepening our connection to self, Earth, and the greater whole. Rooted in contemplative practices, each year participants are guided toward inner transformation and outer action. Held within a supportive community, this journey nurtures profound spiritual growth and global awareness.

    • Year One invites inward exploration through silence, stillness, and spiritual practice
    • Year Two integrates inner work with Earth-awareness, intuition, and creativity.
    • Year Three refines compassionate leadership, empowering participants to embody the truth that inner work is Earth work.

I am so grateful for the welcoming spirit of everyone at the Center, the quiet honoring of time spent both together and alone. It was such a gift.

BY Margareta Magnusson

Mondays, August 4, 11, 18, & 25, 11:00 am

Cost: $60

During the four Mondays of August we will discover how to free ourselves and our families from a lifetime of clutter! The jacket cover tells us that this is a surprisingly invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings, can be undertaken at any age or stage of life, but should be done sooner rather than later, before others will have to do it for us. With Scandinavian humor and wisdom our author encourages readers to embrace minimalism.

Full Moon Meditation: Sturgeon Moon

August 9, 2025 at 6:30pm

Offered at no cost; come meditate with us!

FULL MOON is in Constellation AQUARIUS. Its energies are ideal for deepening and personal growth. Time to be true to Self. North American indigenous fishing tribes called August’s full moon the sturgeon moon since the species appeared in number during this month. It’s also been called the green corn moon, the grain moon, and the red moon for the reddish hue it often takes on in the summer haze.

Seed-thought: I am what I most deeply desire. That which I most deeply desire I am. I give myself to Life.

Enneagram Retreat

September 12-14, 2025

The Enneagram is more than a sound bite or buzzword, it is an ancient path to a tender and deeper understanding of ourselves and those we walk in the world with. Many view the Enneagram as simply a personality inventory, but as you will learn in this retreat the Enneagram is a deep well of ancient wisdom which surprises and astonishes learners at every turn. It can be eye popping to discover the vast depth of self-knowledge and spiritual insight that can be gained by even a shallow dive into the Enneagram.
This retreat will provide a deep dive.
