This retreat will support you in ditching diet culture and empowering your health as a mindful, intuitive eater who cultivates a positive relationship with food and your body.
During this retreat, you will learn to embrace mindful eating as a way to build body confidence and manage your weight. As an experienced and certified instructor of Mindfulness and Mindful Eating, as well as nearly two decades of experience as a licensed teacher and Weight Watchers coach, Robin Richards will be your instructor and guide over the course of the weekend.
Robin will teach you to listen to your body’s natural hunger and fullness signals, and develop a greater understanding of your unique nutritional needs in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. You will learn mindfulness practices that help you connect with your body, reduce stress, and promote self awareness through elements and components of MBSR – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and MB-EAT Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training.
The weekend will include a blend of Mindfulness Meditations, Eating Exercise, and Mindful Eating Practices as well gentle movement and tools to integrate your learning into your daily life. Throughout the weekend, you will have both supported and open time to integrate what you learn. This includes enjoying the fresh, nourishing food provided at the Christine Center as well as exploring the many forms of relaxation and renewal to nourish your body and mind.
You will leave this retreat feeling empowered and confident in your ability to make mindful choices that support your health and well-being. With new skills and insights, you’ll be equipped to continue your mindful eating practice at home and experience the benefits for years to come.
Robin Richards, MA, EdS, RMT
Robin began her professional career as a high school math teacher who quickly became a leader in public education by earning her principal license and serving as a school board member. Robin’s passion for teaching extended into the world of wellness when she became a Weight Watchers leader and coach after learning how to maintain a significant weight loss herself.
On the personal side of her journey, Robin is a survivor who has learned to thrive. When her childhood trauma manifested into crippling addiction and illness, Robin committed herself to healing through learning about wellness and merging conventional science with holistic practices to empower healing.
This led Robin to create Robin’s WellNest LLC, where she teaches resilience and wellness in all seasons of life through meditation, mindful eating and Reiki. She personalizes your wellness plan and uses her lived experiences, as well as her expertise as a master teacher, to empower your healing and inner fitness.
